A flare in a national-level demonstration zone of continental shale oil at the Daqing Oilfield in Daqing,Heilongjiang Province,on December 4.Daqing Oilfield,one of China’s largest energy production bases,announced on December 5 that its Gulong shale oil block,established in 2021,has exceeded 1 million tons in annual output this year.This milestone signifies the block’s successful transition to scaled production.
