毛细管放电型脉冲等离子体推力器重频工作特性研究

Working characteristics of capillary discharge based pulsed plasma thruster in repetition frequency mode

摘要 本文基于“光-电-力”联合诊断平台,系统研究了不同放电电压和点火频率下毛细管型脉冲等离子体推力器工作特性变化规律。实验结果表明,输出推力随点火频率提高而线性增加,且随点火频率增加,输出推力波动减小。高频放电产生的热积累导致单次放电时间延长,沉积能量增加,比冲参数降低。和脉冲模式相比,重频模式的单次等效烧蚀质量、比冲和推力器效率下降。推力器在放电电压3 kV且点火频率1 Hz时,输出稳态推力约为621.9μN,比冲约为632.2 s,单次等效烧蚀质量约为100.4μg,效率约为21.4%,等效电功率9 W,推功比约为71.9 mN/kW。研究结果表明,毛细管推力器通过重频工作模式可以进一步拓宽输出等效推力范围,且在9 W级功率下获得较高推功比。 The working characteristics of capillary discharge based pulsed plasma thruster with different discharge voltage and ignition frequency were studied systematically based on the"Optical-Electrical-Impulse"combined diagnostic platform.The experimental results show that the output thrust increases linearly with increasing ignition frequency,and the output thrust fluctuations decrease with increasing ignition frequency.Heat accumulation from high frequency discharge results in the extension of single discharge time,the increase of deposited energy and the decrease of specific impulse.Compared to pulse mode,the single-pulse equivalent ablation mass,specific impulse,and thruster efficiency decrease in repetitive frequency mode.The thruster has an output steady state thrust of about 621.9μN,a specific impulse of about 632.2 s,a single equivalent ablative mass of about 100.4μg,an efficiency of about 21.4%,an equivalent electrical power of 9 W,and a thrust to power ratio of about 71.9 mN/kW at a discharge voltage of 3 kV and an ignition frequency of 1 Hz.The results show that the range of output equivalent thrust can be further widened by using repetition frequency mode,and a higher thrust to power ratio can be obtained at the power of the 9 W.
