Hyperuricemia is a common metabolic disorder, characterized by abnormally elevated serum uric acid levels. Its pathogenesis mainly involves purine metabolism disorders or renal uric acid excretion dysfunction, and is also related to heredity, age, environmental and other factors. It is closely associated with gout, chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular diseases. At present, although Western medicine can effectively control uric acid levels in the treatment of this disease, the adverse reactions are relatively obvious after long-term medication.Traditional Chinese medicine has significant advantages in alleviating the symptoms of hyperuricemia, improving patients'physical condition, and decreasing the recurrence rate.In recent years, research on intervention methods such as traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions, single Chinese medicinal material, and active ingredients has been continuously deepened, and it has been found that Chinese medicinal material improves the condition and prognosis of patients with hyperuricemia through mechanisms such as antioxidation,anti-inflammation,and regulation of uric acid metabolism. In this study, the latest research progress on the treatment of hyperuricemia in traditional Chinese medicine is systematically reviewed, aiming to further clarify the relevant action mechanism,so as to provide a more powerful basis for the diagnosis and treatment of hyperuricemia in traditional Chinese medicine.
