摘要
福楼拜终生反对庸俗,视之为艺术的重大敌人,在以《包法利夫人》为代表的作品中进行了全面反映与鞭挞。福楼拜认为“庸俗”是19世纪中期法国时代性、阶级性的社会问题,庸俗主体是占据社会主流的资产阶级。福楼拜所批判的庸俗之内涵,除了不择手段满足个人欲望的极端追求,还包括对一般概念的盲目追逐、情感表达上的虚假与泛滥等。因为福楼拜具有反讽的处世态度与观察方式,使得他在反对庸俗的过程中还反思了对日常生活、普通凡人的批判是否全然正当,为恰切表达自己的反讽立场,福楼拜创造出了客观现实主义的艺术手法。
From the very beginning of his life,Flaubert opposed vulgarity and regarded it as a major enemy of art.In his works represented by Madame Bovary,he comprehensively reflected and criticized it.Flaubert believed that“vulgarity”was a social problem of the era and class nature in France in the mid-19th century,and the main body of vulgarity was the bourgeoisie occupying the mainstream of society.The connotation of vulgarity criticized by Flaubert included not only the extreme pursuit of satisfying personal desires by any means,but also the blind chase of general concepts,and the falsity and overabundance in emotional expression.Due to Flaubert’s ironic attitude and way of observation,in the process of opposing vulgarity,he also reflected on whether the criticism of daily life and ordinary people was entirely justified.To appropriately express his ironic stance,Flaubert created the artistic technique of objective realism.
