The rise of the low-altitude economy inevitably leads to the formation and development of a low-altitude social system and structure.Humans are creatures in pursuit of meaning;therefore, their participation in low-altitude activities will inevitably turn this arena into a space imbued with meaning.Based on social systems theory and resilience theory, preliminary research results indicate that a low-altitude society has several basic characteristics:a unique form but repeated group practice;a simple structure but complex relationships;a public space but competitively used;a coexistence of development opportunities and high risks;and an alignment of new productive forces with new production relations. The societal system of a low-altitude society likewise encompasses the three primary forces—government, market, and society—and includes subsystems such as economic technology, legal governance, social relations, and cultural ecology. The most fundamental elements of this system are people, technology, industry, and resilience.Compared to terrestrial society, building resilience is even more crucial for the high-risk low-altitude society;this includes strategies for institutional resilience, engineering resilience, and humanistic resilience to ensure sound operation. As the low-altitude society evolves,a new field of“low-altitude sociology”may emerge, whose nascent theoretical framework would cover its research objects, domain characteristic.
