建水紫陶工艺风格表现为集书画、刻填、磨光三大工艺于一身的整体效果,其中尤以书画工艺为重,进而形成了“书画为上”的传统制陶观念。以“书画为上”的工艺成就了紫陶古朴雅致与俊秀素美的整体艺术风貌。随着时间的推移,建水紫陶的工艺风格及艺术风貌发生着变化,尤以近几年为甚,其风格呈现出多样化的趋势。探其深层原因在于制陶人持有的“书画为上”观念及造型技艺观之延续与变化。
