凯登斯综合体是国王十字中心总体规划中的标志性综合用途建筑,而国王十字中心总体规划本身也是欧洲规模最大的城市更新项目之一。这座建筑地理位置得天独厚,恰好勾勒出路易斯·库比特公园的中轴线;其独树一帜的拱形设计,让这座看似低调却暗藏巧思的“庭院塔楼”既凸显了过渡空间的设计理念,又强化了国王十字区的场所辨识度。建筑内包含103套商品房与60套保障房,建筑的一、二层则为商业、社交及服务空间。该综合体建筑不仅是国王十字区最引人注目的建筑之一,更是场外制造技术的典范之作。
Cadence is a landmark mixed-use building within the King’s Cross Central Masterplan,one of Europe’s largest urban regeneration projects.With its unique position framing the axis of Lewis Cubitt Park and its idiosyncratic arched language,this quietly flamboyant‘courtyard tower’celebrates the concept of threshold while reinforcing King’s Cross’sense of place.Comprising 103 market sale dwellings and 60 affordable apartments above two stories of commercial,social and service spaces,Cadence is recognized as one of King’s Cross most memorable buildings and a demonstration project for offsite manufacturing techniques.
