摘要
民国时期,为迎合上海人摩登化的文化生活偏好,本土海派西式家具厂商流行设计Art Deco风格家具。以水明昌木器公司Art Deco风格海派西式家具为研究对象,从历史资料、相关图纸及实物等方面,对其家具的工艺、技术及设计特征进行研究;在社会变迁维度空间中阐述中国Art Deco风格设计形成的原因,解读20世纪30年代海派设计风尚。
In the Republican era,local Shanghai furniture manufacturers was flourishing,and it soon catered to citizens’modern cultural preferences by creating Shanghai-style Western furniture with the Art Deco style.This study investigates the Art Deco furniture made by Shuimingchang Woodworking Company in 1930s,reviewing its craftsmanship and design qualities using historical data,furniture schemes,and prototype of Republican-era Shanghai-style Western furniture.It also explains the socio-cultural background which gave rise to the Art Deco aesthetic in China,and serving as microcosms of design fashion in 1930s Shanghai.
