摘要
本文系统研究了中国签署的自由贸易协定(FTA)对中国与贸易伙伴双边产业内贸易(Intra-Industry Trade,IIT)水平的作用,旨在揭示贸易规则如何通过降低贸易壁垒、优化产业分工及促进技术扩散,从而推动贸易结构从产业间贸易向更为复杂的产业内贸易转型。基于1978—2023年中国与贸易伙伴的面板数据,本文系统评估了FTA对双边IIT的促进效应。研究结果表明,FTA的制度深度与执行力度是提升IIT水平的关键驱动因素。本文的理论分析与实证发现不仅深化了对FTA推动贸易结构优化机制的认知,还为中国在全球贸易规则重构中提升制度竞争力提供了政策参考。据此,本文建议我国应进一步深化现有FTA的规则内容,强化制度执行,推动高质量对外开放与产业升级进程。
This study systematically examines the impact of Free Trade Agreements(FTAs)signed by China on the level of bilateral intra-industry trade(IIT)between China and its trading partners.It aims to uncover how trade rules,by reducing trade barriers,optimizing industrial division of labor,and facilitating technology diffusion,can drive a structural transformation from inter-industry trade to more complex IIT.Based on the panel data from 1978 to 2023,this study comprehensively evaluates the facilitating effects of FTAs on bilateral IIT.The results indicate that the institutional depth and enforcement intensity of FTAs are key drivers of IIT growth.Through theoretical analysis and empirical findings,this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of how FTAs influence trade structure optimization and offer policy insights for enhancing China’s institutional competitiveness amid the ongoing restructuring of global trade rules.The study recommends further deepening of existing FTA provisions and strengthening enforcement mechanisms to promote high-quality opening-up and industrial upgrading.
