基于FPGA的多分区MiniLED Backlight混合调光设计

摘要 本文设计一款16×28多分区点阵的MiniLED背光驱动,由28颗MPQ3326驱动IC控制,具备16通道控制电流输出,采用PWM与PAM混合调光技术,实现分区亮度控制。单个分区驱动电压范围6~15 V,电流在0.04~5mA范围内可调,变化精度0.01 mA,所有分区总最大电流计算为2240 mA,灯板电源最大输出预留4 A。硬件上采用DC-DC BUCK降压电源,PCB板布局采用减阻抗设计,芯片布局采用了防共振环路和共模噪声设计。设计2×8 pin信号连接口与FPGA通信。FPGA独立控制448个背光分区,通过I2C协议与驱动IC通信,实现局部调光。该设计提升显示屏动态对比度和HDR(高动态范围),可独立调整各区域亮度,显示动态图像时对比度更高、色彩更丰富。 This paper designs a 16×28 multi-partition lattice MiniLED backlight driver,controlled by 28 MPQ3326 driver ICs,with 16-channel control current output,adopts PWM and PAM mixed dimming technology to achieve partition brightness control.The drive voltage range of a single zone is 6~15 V,the current is adjustable in the range of 0.04~5 mA,the change accuracy is 0.01 mA,the total maximum current of all zones is calculated as 2240 mA,and the maximum output of the lamp board power supply is reserved for 4 A.The hardware adopts DC-DC BUCK buck power supply,the PCB layout adopts impedance reduction design,and the chip layout adopts anti-resonance loop and common mode noise design.The 2×8 pin signal connection port is designed to communicate with FPGA.The FPGA independently controls 448 backlight partitions and communicates with the driver IC through the I2C protocol to achieve local dimming.The design improves the dynamic contrast and HDR(High Dynamic Range)of the display,and the brightness of each area can be adjusted independently for higher contrast and richer colors when displaying dynamic images.
