摘要
晚清时期,在西南边疆面临严峻治理危机的背景下,一些富有远见的社会精英着眼于巩固边防、维护统一、稳定边疆之目的,多人多次提出修筑川藏铁路的设想。民国时期,政府开始筹划建设川藏铁路并开展了初步的勘测工作。然而囿于种种客观形势,川藏铁路的建设停留在踏勘阶段,并未付诸实施。回溯历史,川藏铁路的早期设想与实践,折射出中国近代以来国家在西南边疆治理中的战略意图,其历史与政治意义不言而喻。
During the late Qing dynasty,amid severe governance challenges in the southwestern frontier,farsighted social elites repeatedly proposed the construction of the Sichuan-Xizang railway to strengthen border defense,maintain national unity,and stabilize the frontier.In the Republican period,the government began planning and conducted preliminary surveys for the railway.However,due to various objective circumstances,construction remained at the survey stage and was never implemented.Reviewing this history,the early proposals and efforts concerning the Sichuan-Xizang railway reflect the strategic intentions of China in governing the southwestern frontier since modern times,carrying significant historical and political implications.
