1.Overview of Neurorestoratology The rapidlyemergingmedical discipline,Neurorestoratology aims to restore damaged or lost neural functions and/or structures,thereby improving the quality of life of patients suffering fromneuropsychiatric/neurodegenerative and neurotraumatic disorders.1,2 Based on neuroanatomy and neural functions,Neurorestoratology is divided into five branches:(1)The central nervous system Neurorestoratology.(2)Peripheral nervous system Neurorestoratology.(3)Autonomic nervous system Neurorestoratology.(4)Psychiatric Neurorestoratology.(5)Higher brain function Neurorestoratology.
