被“遗忘”的《高高的白杨树》:茅盾文学人性论的坚守

摘要 在《高高的白杨树》小说集中,《高高的白杨树》是茅盾最为欣赏的一篇小说。但是,茅盾没有将该篇小说的眉批组织成文论,向读者推荐。通过考察该文在其时的文学批评接受情况,重新考辨其思想内涵,可知此文的眉批实际上没有组织、发表的必要。该文虽然起先遭受质疑,但在后续的讨论中不断“边缘化”,被纳入茹志鹃写“小题材”“小人物”作品之一种,后因茅盾对茹志鹃作品的整体定性,该文已然获得“通行证”。此外,此文的思想旨趣在于歌颂人性美,与其时的文学主流不符,而这也正是茅盾对于该文的欣赏之处。这进一步确证了茅盾在“阶级论”“政治论”的时代氛围与公开话语之外,仍不失文学人性论的坚守。 In the collection of short stories"The Tall Poplar","The Tall Poplar"was the one that Mao Dun most appreciated.However,Mao Dun did not organize the marginal notes of this story into a literary criticism and recommend it to readers.By examining the acceptance of this article in literary criticism at that time and re-examining its ideological connotation,it can be known that there was actually no need to organize and publish the marginal notes of this article.Although it was initially questioned,it was gradually marginalized in subsequent discussions and was included as one of the works by Ru Zhijuan that dealt with"small themes"and"small characters".Later,due to Mao Dun's overall evaluation of Ru Zhijuan's works,this article was granted a"pass".On the other hand,the ideological essence of this article lies in praising the beauty of human nature,which was inconsistent with the literary mainstream at that time.This was precisely what Mao Dun appreciated about this article.This further confirms that Mao Dun,despite the prevailing atmosphere and public discourse of"class theory"and"political theory",still adhered to the theory of human nature in literature.
