摘要
“大众社会”是人们由于某种目的而随机结合在一起的群体。这个群体是市场制度在社会领域中的延伸,与市场机制一样玩弄平等和不平等的游戏。从表面上看,大众社会的人们可以摆脱社会的等级机制,可以成为“自由”的、有“个性”的个人,而实际上,市场经济中的物化原则以及合理化原则都对他们发挥了作用;他们的语言交流、求新的冲动、求真的渴望等都与有组织的社会不同,其实都是有组织社会的变种。大众社会中所出现的问题需要从社会制度、个人的责任以及文化的变革方面来逐步解决。
“Mass society”is a group of people who combine randomly for some purpose.This group is an extension of the market system in the society and plays the game of equality and inequality like the market mechanism.Mass society people seem to be able to get rid of the social hierarchy mechanism and can become“free”with“personality”,but in fact,the principle of objectification and the principle of rationalization in the market economyboth play a role in them.It seems that their communication,the impulse to be novel,the desire for truth and so onare all different from those of organized society,but in fact they are all variants of organized society.The problemsarising in mass society need to be gradually solved from the aspects of social system,personal responsibility andcultural change.
