合成生物学发展现状及未来趋势分析

摘要 近年来,合成生物学实现了理论、技术和应用的三项创新突破,成为打开非生命物质向生命物质转化的钥匙,为生命科学提供了新的研究范式。为促进该领域科研人员更好地掌握合成生物学的研究进展,把握研究前沿和热点,促进国际合作,本研究对1995—2023年与合成生物学相关的18966篇SCI论文进行文献计量学分析,发现合成生物学领域近几年迅速发展,美国以及中国科学院分别是发文量最多的国家和机构,美国和哈佛大学分别是最具影响力的国家和机构,生物技术与应用微生物学是最热门的学科,全球高质量论文主要聚焦六大主题,分别是DNA折叠(DNA folding)、合成生物学(synthetic biology)、细菌(bacteria)、表达(expression)、系统(system)和DNA(dna)。中国在合成生物学领域起步虽晚,但发展势头强劲,近两年不仅在总发文量和核心作者发文量上实现了对领先国家的超越,国内科研机构也已展现出较高的国际影响力。不过,当前仍存在论文影响力有待提升、研究热点聚焦范围较窄等短板,同时也蕴含着巨大的发展潜力。基于此,中国需着重推进跨地区、跨国界的机构合作,精准聚焦领域内的核心研究热点并加大投入力度,尤其在农业领域,合成生物学的应用前景十分广阔,有望为全球粮食安全问题的解决提供全新的技术支撑。 In recent years,synthetic biology has achieved three significant breakthroughs in theory,technology,and applications,emerging as a pivotal key to transforming non-living matter into living systems and offering a novel research paradigm for the life sciences.To assist researchers in this domain in comprehending the advancements of synthetic biology,identifying research frontiers and hotspots,and fostering international collaboration,this study conducted a bibliometric analysis of 18,966 SCI papers related to synthetic biology published from 1995 to 2023.The findings indicate that the field of synthetic biology has experienced rapid growth recently.The United States and the Chinese Academy of Sciences rank first in terms of the number of publications among countries and institutions,respectively.The United States and Harvard University are the most influential country and institution,respectively.Biotechnology and applied microbiology emerge as the most prominent disciplines.Moreover,high-quality global papers primarily focus on six major themes:DNA folding,synthetic biology,bacteria,expression,system,and DNA.Although China started late in the field of synthetic biology,it has developed with great momentum.In recent years,it has not only surpassed leading countries in terms of total number of papers published and the number of papers by core authors,but also domestic research institutions have demonstrated high international influence.However,there are still shortcomings such as the need to enhance the influence of papers,and the relatively narrow focus of research hotspots,while there is also huge potential for development.Accordingly,China needs to focus on promoting cross-regional and transnational institutional cooperation,accurately target core research hotspots in the field and increase investment,especially in the agricultural sector,synthetic biology has broad application prospects and is expected to provide new technical support for solving global food security issues.
