Integrated print-digital textbooks in vocational education represent a comprehensive teaching resource that combines traditional print materials with modern digital technologies.Their value primarily manifests in three aspects:educational empowerment, where the integration and innovation enhance teaching quality and stimulate students’potentials;technology-driven advancement, with intelligent guidance fostering innovative technologies and promoting textbook development;and societal contribution, where balanced development facilitates talents supply and promotes resources sharing. In practice, however, the development of integrated print-digital textbooks in vocational education faces challenges such as unclear definitions due to policy gaps, difficulties in contents integration caused by technological bottlenecks, application barriers arising from varying personnel competencies, and delayed contents updates resulting from the absence of feedback mechanisms.Looking ahead,it is essential to clarify boundaries and refine standards, promote technological innovation and form development teams, enhance training and improve personnel competencies, and establish dynamic mechanisms to continuously optimize textbooks to drive the high-quality development of integrated print-digital textbooks in vocational education.
