The Framework and Implications of AI Literacy Education in UK Universities

摘要 生成式人工智能(GenAI)正在深刻改变着人类学习、生活与工作的方式,提升人工智能素养是把握技术创新浪潮、适应未来劳动力市场的关键所在。英国快速部署GenAI在教育中的应用并建立多元全面、强调负责任使用的教育政策框架,探讨英国高校推进人工智能素养教育的实践对人工智能人才培养、教育教学改革具有应用指导意义。文章采用网络调研法收集罗素大学集团发布的GenAI相关政策及活动信息,构建英国高校人工智能素养教育框架。研究表明,英国高校人工智能素养教育以AI认知、AI应用、AI思维、AI伦理四个方面为教育内容;以师生为教育对象,提升其在学习、科研和教学场景中与AI的交互能力;以伦理规范与教育评估优化教育环境,同时耦合多方利益主体保障教育的有效实施。 Generative Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing the way people learn,live and work,making AI literacy critical to harnessing technological innovation and adapting to the evolving labor market.The United Kingdom has rapidly integrated GenAI into education,establishing a diverse and comprehensive policy framework that emphasizes responsible use.It is instructive for the cultivation of AI talent and the reform of education and teaching to examine the practice of promoting AI literacy education in UK colleges and universities.By collecting the information on GenAI-related policies and activities published by the Russell Group through an online survey,this study develops a framework for AI literacy education in UK universities.The findings show that the AI literacy education in UK universities focuses on AI cognition,AI application,AI thinking,and AI ethics;targets the students and faculty to enhance their interactive skills with AI in learning,research and teaching scenarios;optimizes the educational environment through ethical norms and educational assessment,and ensures its effective implementation by fostering the collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
