The Effect of Peer Dialogue Feedback with GenAI Intervention on Critical Thinking of Elementary School Students

摘要 同伴对话反馈是协作学习中促进批判性思维发展的重要途径。生成式人工智能(Generative Artificial Intelligence,GenAI)在理论上有助于消解在对话反馈时小学生知识储备不足、元认知能力薄弱以及教师即时指导缺失等问题,从而强化同伴对话反馈进程中的批判性思维发展,但该结论尚缺乏实证研究的支持。为此,文章对发生在小学科学大单元学习过程三个阶段的1000条同伴对话反馈文本进行滞后序列分析和认知网络分析,探究GenAI介入的同伴对话反馈质量及其对学生批判性思维的影响。结果显示,GenAI的介入深化了同伴对话反馈的过程,在促进批判性思维发展的过程中形成了“反思与争论”和“接受与评价”迭代循环的特征;同伴间的高水平争论有助于促进批判性思维发展;教师的协同可以增强GenAI介入同伴对话反馈促进批判性思维发展的作用。最后,文章探讨了GenAI介入的小学生同伴对话反馈机制,可为推动GenAI与学科课堂教学融合的创新发展提供实践参考。 Peer dialogue feedback is an important way to promote the development of critical thinking in collaborative learning.Generative artificial intelligence(GenAI)theoretically helps to address issues such as insufficient knowledge reserves,weak metacognitive abilities,and the absence of immediate teacher guidance among elementary school students during peer dialogue feedback,thereby strengthening the development of critical thinking in the peer dialogue feedback process.However,this conclusion still lacks empirical research support.Therefore,the paper conducted lag sequence analysis and cognitive network analysis on 1,000 peer dialogue feedback texts that occurred in three stages of elementary science large unit learning,and explored the quality of GenAI-enhanced peer dialogue feedback and its impact on students’critical thinking.The results showed that GenAI intervention deepened the peer dialogue feedback process,formed an iterative cycle of“reflection and debate”and“acceptance and evaluation”in the process of promoting critical thinking development.Meanwhile,the high-level debates among peers contribute to the development of critical thinking;and teachers’collaboration could enhance the role of GenAI intervention in peer dialogue feedback to promote the development of critical thinking.The paper finally explored the feedback mechanism of peer dialogue among elementary school students intervened by GenAI,which can provide practical reference for promoting the innovative development of GenAI integration with subject-based classroom teaching.
