摘要
深入探讨《布洛陀史诗》的文化独特性与翻译过程中所面临的挑战,分析“镜中我”现象在该史诗译介中的具体表现及其双重效应。研究发现,史诗的文化独特性主要体现在其文本的神圣性和口头传承性。其中,神名与宇宙观的不可译性,以及生态隐喻在翻译过程中的流失,构成了典籍译介的主要难题。在典籍译介过程中,译者的文化背景和价值判断形成“自我之镜”,读者的接受语境则构成“他者之镜”,共同作用于“镜中我”现象。一方面,由于文化背景的差异,典籍在译介过程中可能遭遇文化折扣,导致其文化价值的削弱;另一方面,通过译者的创造性加工和改造,文化得以再生产和创新,实现文化价值的增殖,从而形成“镜中我”现象的“双重镜像”效应。典籍译介中的“镜中我”现象揭示了翻译的本质,即翻译过程不是简单的语码转换,而是文化主体通过他者之镜反观自我、重构意义的动态过程。
This study deeply explores the cultural uniqueness of The Epic of Bacuqloxgdoh and the challenges faced in its translation process,and analyzes the specific manifestations and dual effects of the"looking-glass self"phenomenon in the translation and dissemina-tion of this epic.The study reveals that the cultural uniqueness of the epic is primarily embodied in the sacredness and oral transmission of its text.Among these,the untranslatability of divine names and cosmological views,as well as the loss of ecological metaphors during the translation process,constitute major challenges in classical translation and dissemination.In the process of classical translation and dissem-ination,the translator's cultural background and value judgments form the"self-mirror",while the reader’s receptive context constitutes the"other-mirror",both of which jointly contribute to the"looking-glass self"phenomenon.On the one hand,due to cultural differences,the classic may suffer from cultural discount in the process of translation and dissemination,leading to a reduction in its cultural value.On the other hand,through the translator’s creative processing and adaptation,culture is reproduced and innovated,achieving an enhance-ment in cultural value,thereby forming the"dual mirror image"effect of the"looking-glass self"phenomenon.This phenomenon reveals the essence of translation,that is,it is not a simple code-switching,but a dynamic process where cultural subjects reflect on themselves and reconstruct meaning through the mirror of the other.
