外语教材使用对教师专业发展的影响——以上海市高中英语新教材使用调查为例

The Impact of Foreign Language Textbook Use on Teacher Professional Development:A Survey on New Senior High School English Textbook Use in Shanghai

摘要 本研究调查了665名使用新教材的高中英语教师,分析教材使用对教师专业发展的作用,并探究影响其专业发展的因素。调查结果显示:(1)新教材对高中英语教师专业发展的影响整体较好,其中,使用新教材对提高教学能力和丰富教师知识的作用较突显;(2)教师教材观与新教材使用中的教师专业发展呈显著正相关,其中调适型教材观对其正向影响更高;(3)新教材使用中的教师专业发展在教龄、学历、职称和学校类型方面没有显著差异。研究发现对教材研究者、教育行政管理部门、高中英语教师和教材编者都有一定启发和借鉴意义。 This study investigates the influence of the new English textbook use on the professional development of 665 senior high school English teachers and explores the factors that influenced their professional development.The questionnaire results reveal that:(1)overall,the effect of new textbook use on the professional development of high school English teachers is positive,and the impacts on teaching competence and teacher knowledge are relatively higher;(2)there is a significant positive correlation between the teachers'textbook belief and teacher professional development in the process of new textbook use,in which“textbook as support”is the most significantly correlated and has a significant positive impact;(3)there are no individual differences in English teacher professional development in the new textbook use,such as years of teaching,educational backgrands,professional titles or school types.The study has implications for researchers,administrations,high school English teachers and textbook writers.
