摘要
电影是中西方文化交流的重要载体,观众可以通过影视画面,感受来自异国他乡的风土人情。字幕准确而恰当的翻译,有助于观众更好地了解电影所要表达的主旨。功能对等理论为字幕翻译提供科学指导框架,有助于字幕翻译工作者重视文化差异,灵活运用多元翻译策略,切实加强电影字幕文化传播能力,令目标语贴近受众的认知水平。文章研究概述功能对等理论内涵,简要介绍电影《怦然心动》内容后,剖析功能对等理论在字幕翻译中的应用,并提出字幕翻译中的其他策略。
Film serves as a significant medium for cultural exchange between China and the West,and the audience can feel the local customs from foreign countries through film and television pictures.Accurate and appropriate translation of subtitles will help the audience to better understand the theme of the film.Functional equivalence theory provides a scientific guiding framework for subtitle translation,which helps subtitle translators to attach importance to cultural dfferences,flexibly use multiple translation strategies,effectively strength-en the cultural communication ability of film subtitles,and make the target language closer to the audience's cognitive level.This paper summarizes the connotation of the functional equivalence theory,briefly introduces the content of the film"Flipped",then analyzes the application of the functional equivalence theory in subtitle translation,and finally proposes other strategies for subtitle translation.
