摘要
隋朝政府兴建了大量土木工程,并首次将数学纳入官办教育,在客观上促进了数学的发展。成书于唐初的《缉古算经》在一定程度上反映了隋代的工程要求与数学水平。从《缉古算经》中具体的数学问题入手,对照史料中的工程及徭役情况,可从新的角度展现隋朝的工程规模与数学水平,进而讨论隋朝开设官办数学教育却未能推动数学作用于工程实践的原因。
The Sui Dynasty government built a large number of civil engineering projects and for the first time incorporated mathematics into official education,objectively promoting the development of mathematics.Written in the early Tang Dynasty,Jigu Suanjing to some extent reflects the engineering requirements and mathematics level of the Sui Dynasty.Based on the specific mathematics problems in Jigu Suanjing,the engineering and forced labor situations in historical materials are compared to present the engineering scale and mathematical level of the Sui Dynasty from a new perspective.Furthermore,the reasons why the Sui Dynasty′s official mathematics education failed to promote the application of mathematics in engineering practice are discussed.
