摘要
蓝靛瑶的度戒传统上具有入教、入社、成年礼三重属性的文化实践,研究其现代转型机制对理解少数民族文化变迁具有重要价值。以广西平木蓝靛瑶度戒仪式“大办”与“小办”两种实践形态为切入点,独立隆重的“大办”强化传统权威,依附丧葬仪式后的“小办”流程简化提升仪式效率,揭示了蓝靛瑶度戒仪式在现代转型中结构性调适的动态机制:在实践策略层面呈现出时间压缩的现象,仪式流程依循经济理性与文化理性的双重逻辑演变调整;在深层结构层面呈现出功能守恒的特征,在现代化冲击下其成人社会化、伦理教化与社群认同等核心功能通过“度亡”与“度生”的仪式同构得以延续功能稳定性。研究突破既有将仪式变迁归因于外部压力的被动调适论,指出文化主体通过代际资本协商、意义系统转译等策略掌握现代转型的主动权,仪式流程的时间压缩与神圣叙事的现代重构,在稳定伦理功能基础上,通过实践形态的创新回应现代生存需求,为理解少数民族文化传承与现代转型提供了新的理论视角。
The Duojie ritual of the Landian Yao traditionally functioned as a tripartite cultural practice encompassing religious initiation,community integration,and coming-of-age rites.Investigating its modern transformation mechanisms holds significant value for understanding ethnic minority cultural change.This study examines the"grand-style ritual"(da ban)and"streamlined ritual"(xiao ban)in Pingmu Village,Guangxi,where the independently performed da ban reinforces traditional authority while the funeral-affiliated xiao ban enhances efficiency through simplification.This reveals the dynamic mechanism of structural adaptation in the ritual's modern transition:at the practical-strategic level,time compression manifests through adjustments governed by economic and cultural rationalities;at the deep-structural level,functional conservation ensures core purposes-adult socialization,ethical cultivation,and community identity-persist via the ritual isomorphism of"delivering the dead"(du wang)and"initiating the living"(du sheng).Moving beyond passive adaptation theories attributing ritual change to external pressures,we demonstrate how cultural agents actively steer transformation through intergenerational capital negotiation and meaning translation.The dual processes of compressing ritual time and reconstructing sacred narratives innovate practical forms while stabilizing ethical functions,responding to modern needs and offering a novel theoretical lens for interpreting ethnic cultural continuity amid modernity.
