In the context of current reforms in higher education and the development of a new industrial system in China, modern industry colleges serve as crucial facilitators in advancing the integration of education and production.Through the lens of the'Eight Co-Actions'value-sharing framework, this study proposes a tripartite model for modern industry colleges development:campus-centric,enterprise-embedded,and park collaborative modes.By examining the structural components and collaborative mechanisms of modern industry colleges, the study evaluates the relevance and synergy of these different operational modes through practical case studies. While each mode demonstrates distinct advantages and orientations, issues such as a lack of cohesion, limited enterprise engagement, and fragmented governance structures are identified.Consequently, the study suggests a strategic approach encompassing four key dimensions:delineating governmental responsibilities, enhancing enterprise involvement, restructuring university frameworks, and refining quality assessment protocols. The study advocates for the evolution of modern industry colleges towards institutionalization, transitioning from a project-based to a platform-based approach and from experimental to normative practices. This transformation aims to build modern industry colleges into replicable and scalable institutional carriers for higher education reform with Chinese characteristics.
