摘要
HighlightsA novel conjugative plasmid pHJ90-cfr carrying the multiresistance gene cfr was characterized in Proteus vulgaris.A new IS5-family member,ISPmi4,was identified for the first time.Both plasmids and ICEs were vital mobile genetic elements for horizontal transmission of cfr gene in Proteus species.
