摘要
国家形象的塑造和维护对于国家的发展和国际交往至关重要。熊猫作为一种文化符号,已成为中国的象征之一。China Daily(2019-2024)中熊猫的报道通过“panda”的话语搭配、话语主题和高频词的话语修辞,把熊猫描述成“国宝”“友谊使者”以及“和平与友谊的象征”,塑造成活泼可爱的熊猫形象和文化大使,进而建构了一个注重环境保护、积极参与国际合作、主张和平友好的国家形象,并通过具象化、抽象化以及情感化这三种传播方式,实现中华传统文化“走出去”。
The construction and sustenance of a nation̓s image are crucial to its development and global engagement.As a cultural emblem,panda has emerged as one of the quintessential symbols of China.The reports on pandas in China Daily(2019-2024)portray pandas as“national treasures”,“ambassadors of friendship”and“symbols of peace and friendship”through an analysis of the collocations of“panda”,thematic discourse patterns and rhetorical strategies based on high-frequency words.These representations construct a vivid and endearing image of pandas as cultural ambassadors,thereby shaping a national image that prioritizes environmental protection,actively engages in international cooperation,and promotes peace and harmony.By employing three communication approaches-concretization,abstraction and emotional resonance,the reports facilitate the“Going Global”of traditional Chinese culture.
