Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of small needle knife on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type(CSA).Methods 60 patients with CSA were divided into a control group and a study group according to random numerical table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture and moxibustion, and the study group was treated with small needle knife. The symptom improvement before and after treatment, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the subjective symptom score, clinical sign score, life and work ability score and total score on clinical assessment scale for cervical spondylosis(CASCS)in both groups were higher than those before treatment;the subjective symptom score, clinical sign score, life and work ability score and total score on CASCS were(15.62±1.25),(68.48±2.13),(7.72±1.17),and(88.82±2.13)points in the study group, which were higher than(11.48±1.54),(59.81±3.19),(5.25±1.24),and(76.54±4.19)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was 96.67%,which was higher than 73.33%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of small needle knife can improve disease symptoms of patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type, and the effect is ideal.
