Objective To study the effect of family follow-up management model on the intervention of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 92 patients with T2DM complicated with COPD admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Yangzhou University from Janu⁃ary 2023 to June 2024 were selected and divided into two groups according to different nursing methods, with 46 cases in each group. The study group implemented the family follow-up management model, while the control group adopted the routine nursing mode. The quality of life, blood glucose indexes and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, compared with the control group, the quality of life scores of the study group were higher, and the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglo⁃bin A1c were lower, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For the nursing intervention of patients with T2DM and COPD,the family follow-up management model can signifi⁃cantly reduce the blood glucose level and effectively improve the quality of life and nursing satisfaction of patients.
