The release of the new pricing standards of engineering quantity list is not only a sign of the deepening of China’s engineering cost management reform,but also a detailed regulation of the pricing behavior in the construction market.This change has established the fundamental principles of cost management at the macro level,and defined the behavioral norms of both contracting and contracting parties in the context of marketization at the micro level.It indicates that project investment management is moving towards a comprehensive,legal,and refined management model.The article deeply analyzes the background and significance of the new pricing standards,demonstrating the wisdom and courage of China’s development in the construction field.Combining with the content of the new pricing standards of engineering quantity list,an analysis of the highlights was conducted,and feasible application scenarios were finally proposed.Through analysis and discussion,the aim is to provide useful reference and inspiration for the full application of the new pricing standards of engineering quantity list in investment project cost management.
