摘要
政治文献中的成语具有丰富的文化内涵,但在成语的翻译过程中如何做到处理妥帖,也是翻译过程中的一个难题。本研究以《二十大报告》中的成语及其日语译文为研究对象,结合认知识解中的具体化理论,观察政治文献中的成语日译,讨论译者的识解操作。研究发现,在对政治文献中的成语进行日译时,由于汉语和日语具有相近的语言文化背景,当目标语中存在对应成语时,则直接采用目标语中的成语作为译文;但在更多情况下,源语与目标语之间并无直接对应,译者则基于认知识解操作,通过“具体化”处理手段,运用意译法等更为灵活的方法进行翻译,虽舍弃形式上的对等,却达到了内容上“忠实”的标准。
Idioms in political documents are rich in cultural connotations.However,how to translate them appropriately remains a major challenge in the translation process.This study takes the idioms in Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and their Japanese translations as the research objects.By integrating the concept of concretization in cognitive construal,it observes the Japanese translation of idioms in political documents and discusses the construal operations of translators.The study reveals that when translating idioms in political documents into Japanese,because of the similar linguistic and cultural backgrounds of Chinese and Japanese,the corresponding idioms in the target language are directly adopted as the translation when they exist.Nevertheless,in most cases,there is no direct correspondence between the source language and the target language.In such situations,based on cognitive construal operations,translators adopt more flexible translation methods such as free translation method through the‘concretization treatment’approach.Despite discarding equivalence in form,the translation achieves the principle of“faithfulness”in terms of content.
