摘要
社会语言学专注于研究语言结构及在社会背景下的语言应用。地铁是城市文化推广的窗口,故地铁站名称的选取、命名能一定程度上反映一个地区的社会历史、文化及社会心理。该研究以兰州地铁两条线路上的27个站点名称为研究焦点,通过社会语言学的方法对这些站点名称进行深入分析,并得出一个结论:兰州市地铁站点的命名主要参考了古老的地名、商业中心广场、新建城区、交通中心、乡村居住地及著名高等教育机构,并且具有简洁、明了等特点,一定程度上承载着兰州市历史文化,同时也反映出当地人民淳朴、务实的生活方式及对美好生活期盼与向往的社会心理。该研究以期为日后新地铁站的命名提供一些参考建议。
Sociolinguistics focuses on the study of language structure and its use in social contexts.Subway is the window of urban culture promotion,so the selection and naming of subway stations can reflect the social history,culture and social psychology of a region to a certain extent.This research focuses on 27 station names on two lines of Lanzhou Metro,and makes an in-depth analysis of these station names through sociolinguistic methods,and then draws a conclusion.The names of subway stations in Lanzhou mainly refer to ancient place names,commercial central squares,newly built urban areas,transportation centers,rural settlements and famous institutions of higher education,and are characterized by simplicity and clarity,which to some extent carry the history and culture of Lanzhou,and also reflect the local people's simple and pragmatic way of life and their social psychology of expectation and yearning for a better future life.At the same time,some suggestions are also put forward for naming new subway stations in the future.
