In today's society,the rapid economic development has made civil and commercial activities increasingly frequent and complex.With the continuous expansion of the market and the increasing number of transactions,various civil and commercial disputes have emerged endlessly.Against this background,how to effectively maintain fairness and justice in civil and commercial activities and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the parties has become an important issue to be resolved urgently in the legal field.We delve into the punitive compensation system from the perspective of civil and commercial law,clarifying its application in multiple fields such as consumer rights protection,intellectual property protection,environmental pollution,and ecological damage.In the consumer field,it can effectively punish product fraud and other damaging behaviors;in intellectual property,it can severely crack down on infringement and counterfeiting to protect innovative achievements;in the environmental field,it can curb illegal waste discharge by enterprises and protect the ecological environment.By imposing heavy economic penalties on malicious infringers in various fields,compensating victims for their rights,and exerting deterrence and punishment functions,the punitive compensation system helps maintain market fairness and order and safeguard public interests.
