摘要
从语言系统中而来的明喻和隐喻这两个修辞格在家具产品设计中的应用极易被混淆,二者在设计的符号修辞结构中具有不同的特点,引入家具设计中后其修辞模式需要得到重新界定。本文借皮尔斯逻辑——修辞符号学理论的符号三分结构,结合中日修辞学的修辞理念进行设计案例的分析,界定了家具产品设计中的明喻和隐喻的概念范围,归纳出明喻和隐喻在修辞结构上的不同在于对两造相似性的依赖与否。认为明喻着重对新发现、新感觉的认识而进行符号意义的连接,隐喻着重对已有意义的强化而选择与之相似的喻体意义进行类比。明喻和隐喻修辞在设计中的运用给出明确的分类方法,将为家具产品创新设计提供更清晰的设计策略。
The application of simile and metaphor,two figures of speech from the language system,in furniture product design is extremely inclined to be confusing.The two figures of speech have various characteristics in the symbolic rhetorical structure of design.Their rhetorical models need to be redefined after they are introduced into furniture design.This paper uses the symbolic triad structure of Pierce’s logic rhetoric semiotics theory to analyze design cases in combination with the rhetoric concepts of Chinese and Japanese rhetoric,defines the conceptual scope of simile and metaphor in furniture product design,and concludes that the difference between simile and metaphor in rhetoric structure is the dependence on the similarity of the two.The author reckons that similes concentrate on the recognition of new discoveries and fresh feelings to connect the symbolic meanings,while metaphors focus on the reinforcement of existing meanings and select comparable vehicle meanings for analogy.The application of simile and metaphor in design shares an evident classification method,which will provide a clearer design strategy for innovative furniture products.
