摘要
季本在剖析《周易本义》卷首九图天地自然之易“河图”“洛书”时,反对朱熹、蔡元定“伏羲则河图画卦”“大禹则洛书叙九畴”的河洛二分说。他认为“河图”“洛书”乃伏羲教民卜筮之物,且《系辞》所言圣人仅指伏羲,与大禹无关。季本又从象数角度阐发刘牧“河洛”同出于伏羲之世说为正。季本认为,“河图”“洛书”是能识微见几的“象”,道之变化、几之吉凶于此显现,是故圣人观象以画卦。“河图”为体、为器、为中,“洛书”为用、为道、为正,二者互为表里。季本易学思想呈现出明显的心学特色,他主张卜筮以明悟本心,在心上见理,将八卦和人心之八德联系起来。
While analyzing“Hetu”and“Luoshu”in the nine pictures of the beginning volume of Original Connotations of the Book of Changes,Ji Ben opposes Zhu Xi's and Cai Yuanding's dichotomy of“Heluo”that Fu Hsi paints divinatory symbols according to“Hetu”and Dayu makes nine rules according to“Luoshu”.He thinks that“Hetu”and“Luoshu”are the things that Fu Hsi uses to teach people to practise divination,and the sage mentioned in Xici only refers to Fu Hsi and has nothing to do with Dayu.Then he has the same opinion with Liu Mu that“Heluo”appears in the time of Fu Hsi from the perspective of shape and number.Ji Ben believes that“Hetu”and“Luoshu”are the“shapes”that can predict the nature and development of things according to the symptom of a trend,and the change of principles and good or ill luck of numbers appear here.Therefore,the sage observes the shapes to paint divinatory symbols.“Hetu”embodies“body,organ,center”,and“Luoshu”embodies“application,principle,impartiality”,which forms an integral part.Ji Ben’s theory of Yi presents an obvious feature of philosophy of the mind.He advocates divination to understand the true intention clearly,to see the truth in the mind,and to connect the Eight Diagrams with the eight virtues of people.
