摘要
亨利·詹姆斯是英美文学史上闻名的小说家和艺术理论家,他的文学成就和理论贡献在西方文学史上具有里程碑式的意义。对比西方,国内文学界对亨利·詹姆斯的研究整体呈现出“起步晚、角度窄、范围小”的特征,且很多学者对詹姆斯“不接地气”的贵族视角以及詹氏所倡导的“道德伦理”存在误区和扁平化的理解。面对这位多产的文学大师和文学评论家,揭示其作品的现代价值,大胆从世界文学主义视角探索其远超于时代的艺术观、世界观和人类文明愿景,是摆在我们面前的重要议题。
Henry James’ literary achievements and theoretical contributions are the milestone in the history of western literature. Compared to western literary circles,the researches on Henry James in China are characteristic of being delayed,narrow-angled and small-ranged. Some scholars perceive James’ aristocratic perspective to be lofty and snobbish,and have biased or partial understandings of his ethical values. In modern times,how to reveal James’ literary value across time and explore the transcendent artistic and world views within this prolific literary master and critic from the perspective of world literature,is an important topic for researchers.
