摘要
目的 探讨SPF级大鼠、小鼠在标准IVC饲养系统笼盒内玉米芯垫料的合理使用量。方法 在国标要求的饲养密度上限条件下,小鼠笼盒和大鼠笼盒的玉米芯垫料按照低、中、高3组不同使用量,每3 d分别记录大鼠和小鼠的体重、采食量、粪便量,并对垫料洁净度进行评分,持续21 d。结果 21 d内大鼠和小鼠3组间体质量、采食量、粪便量无统计学差异,小鼠垫料洁净度低垫料组第12天之后与高垫料组差异显著(P<0.001),中垫料组第9天之后与高垫料组差异显著(P<0.05)。大鼠垫料洁净度3组间无统计学差异。结论 标准IVC系统饲养条件下,换笼周期为7 d时,小鼠笼盒垫料使用量为100 g,大鼠笼盒垫料使用量为400 g,随换笼周期延长,垫料使用量需相应增加。
Objective Explore the reasonable usage of corncob bedding for SPF rats and mice in standard IVC system.Method Under the upper limit condition of feeding density required by national standard, the corncob bedding for mouse and rat cages was used in different amounts according to the low, medium and high groups. The weight, feed intake, and fecal weight of rats and mice were recorded every 3 d in a period of 21 d, and the cleanliness of the bedding was scored.Result There were no statistically significant differences in body weight, feed intake, and fecal weight among the three groups of rats and mice within 21 days. Mouse litter cleanliness was significantly different from the high litter group after the 12 days(P<0.001), and the middle litter group was significantly different from the high litter group after the 9 th day(P<0.05). There was not any statistically significant difference in the cleanliness of bedding materials between the three groups in the rat.Conclusion Under the standard IVC system, when the cage change cycle was 7 days, the amount of corncob bedding used for mouse cages is 100 g, and the amount of corncob bedding used for rat cages is 400 g. As the cage change cycle prolongs, the amount of corncob bedding used needs to be increased accordingly.
