摘要
中国通过大量承包工程同非洲深入开展产能合作,那么这能否切实促进非洲国家实现经济腾飞备受学界关注。文章运用2002~2018年非洲国家夜间灯光数据与中国对非承包工程数据建立空间杜宾模型,检验以承包工程为代表的中非产能合作对非洲经济增长的空间作用。研究发现:中非产能合作不但能够直接对项目所在国家经济产生积极影响,而且能够通过空间溢出效应辐射拉动邻近国家经济增长,且影响效果因国家收入水平、中国对非承包工程发展阶段不同而存在明显的异质性特征。从影响的机制看,中非产能合作能够有效提高东道国及邻国工业化水平、扩大就业、增加外国直接投资及促进对外贸易,进而推动非洲国家经济增长。上述研究客观评价了中国对非基础设施建设的贡献,为后续开展中非产能合作提供了重要策略参考。
China has carried out in-depth production capacity cooperation with Africa through a large number of contracted projects.Whether it can effectively promote the economic take-off of African countries has attracted much attention.This paper uses the night light data of African countries from 2002 to 2018 and China’s contracted projects data to establish a spatial Durbin model to test the spatial effect of China-Africa production capacity cooperation represented by contracted projects on African economic growth.The results show that:China-Africa production capacity cooperation can not only directly have a positive impact on the economy of the country where the project is located,but also promote the economic growth of neighboring countries through the spatial spillover effect,and the effect has obvious heterogeneity characteristics due to the different national income levels and the development stage of China’s contracted projects.From the perspective of impact mechanism,China-Africa production capacity cooperation can effectively promote the economic growth of African countries by improving the industrialization level,expanding employment,increasing foreign direct investment,and promoting foreign trade,which further promote the economic growth of African countries.The above-mentioned research objectively evaluated China’s contribution to Africa’s infrastructure construction,and provided an important strategic reference for subsequent China-Africa production capacity cooperation.
