摘要
阿尔泰山与宋代及其以前文献所记西域的“金山”无关。altai/altaj(阿尔泰)一词最早见于13世纪的文献记载。该词由蒙古语的altu/alta(n)(黄金)附加表示“有……的地方”的词缀-tai/-taj演变而来,语义为“有黄金的地方”、“有黄金的山”、“金山”,是蒙古语对突厥语altun jÎ∫(黄金高原,黄金高地)的翻译。从altun jÎ∫向altai/altaj的演变,正反映了当地不同族群的迁徙、变化进程。
The Altai Mountains have nothing to do with the“Jinshan”,which islocated in the Western Regions,which was recorded in the documents of the Songand previous Dynasties.The term altai/altaj first appeared in the documents in the 13th century,which was evolved from-tai/-taj that means“where there is”that affixation of altu/alta(n)(means gold)in Mongolian,which means“golden place”,“mountains with gold”,and“golden mountains”,namely the translation of Turkic altun jÎ∫(Golden Plateau,Golden heights)from Mongolian.The evolution from altun jÎ∫to altai/altajthat reflects different local ethnic groupsin the process of migration and changing.
