摘要
从1865年南北战争结束到1877年是美国南部重建时期,这一时期共和党一度控制又逐步失去了南部诸州政权。南部诸州的共和党政府在政治、经济、教育等方面都有一定的政绩,但长期以来饱受非议尤其是关于腐败的指控。南部重建时期的共和党政府确实存在严重的腐败问题,但不能因为腐败而否定其在当时当地的先进性,也不能夸大其腐败在当时当地的严重性,更不能片面地将腐败与种族问题挂钩。
The period from the end of the civil war in 1865 to 1877 was the period of reconstruction of the south of the United States.The Republican governments in the southern states have made some achievements in politics,economy and education,but they have been criticized for a long time,especially the accusations of corruption.The republican government in the southern reconstruction period did have serious corruption problems,but it could not deny its advanced nature at that time because of corruption,nor could it exaggerate the severity of its corruption at that time,nor could it unilaterally link corruption with ethnic issues.
