摘要
随着云计算的快速发展,传统的基于内核转发的IaaS层网络架构已经难以满足高吞吐和低时延的用户需求。基于硬件卸载的智能网卡应运而生,可以在提升网络转发质量的基础上支持更灵活丰富的网络功能。本文详述了智能网卡网络卸载方案,并对其优缺点加以分析比较。同时也进行了相应的性能对比测试。从测试结果可以看出,智能网卡的硬件卸载可以大幅提升云计算场景网络转发性能,基于硬件卸载的云计算网络无疑是未来发展的重要方向。
With the rapid development of cloud computing,the network performance based on linux kernel can't fulfil next generation high throughput requirement.Smart Nic which based on hardware offload was introduced to ensure large network throughput together with more flexible applications.This article summarized several networking offload methodologies of Smart Nic,and also gathered some experiment test results to present performance boost.Cloud computing network based on hardware offload is undoubtedly an important direction of future development.
