Brazing of SiC Ceramic with Ag-Cu Composite Filler

摘要 向Ag-Cu-Ti粉末添加碳化硅颗粒(SiCp)增强相构成复合钎料,用于钎焊SiC陶瓷材料,借助扫描电镜(SEM)观察钎焊接头内部组织,采用万能试验机测试焊缝剪切强度。结果表明,在Ag-Cu基钎料及活性Ti成分一定的条件下,VSiCp在10%~15%时,接头中SiCp均匀分布,且其与Ag-Cu-Ti钎料基体组织结合紧密,形成强毛细作用,促进接头内活性元素Ti的扩散能力,在SiC陶瓷/钎料界面形成约4μm致密层,成分相主要由TiC、Ti5Si3、Ti3SiC2组成。SiCp含量为15%时,接头处的剪切强度提高至138 MPa。该成分钎料不仅具有较好的填缝能力,而且显著优化接头的力学性能,是一种很有潜力的钎焊陶瓷的复合钎料。 SiC particles(SiCp) reinforcing phase was added into Ag-Cu-Ti powder to form the composite brazing filler metal and it was used to braze SiC ceramic materials. The microstructure of brazed joints were observed by SEM and the shear strength was tested by universal testing machine. The results show that under certain conditions of Ag-Cu base brazing filler metal and active Ti composition, when the VSiCp is 10%-15%, the SiCp in the joint was evenly distributed and closely combined with the matrix structure of Ag-Cu-Ti filler metal to form a strong capillary action and promote the diffusion ability of the active element Ti in the joint. About 4 μm dense layer is generated in the interface of SiC ceramic/solder, and the component phase is mainly composed of Ti3SiC2, Ti5Si3 and TiC. When the SiCpcontert is 15%, the shear strength of the joint increases to 138 MPa. The solder with this composition not only has good ability of caulking, but also can optimize the mechanical properties of joint. The brazing filler metal is a very potential composite brazing filler metal for brazing ceramic.
