摘要
大学院长处于"行政权力与学术权力的交叉点上",是一面折射大学内部深层次矛盾的镜子。院长角色的"矛盾性"根源在于大学文化在核心上的矛盾性。矛盾冲突带来焦虑。对19位院长的质性研究发现,院长角色焦虑主要集中在时间焦虑、关系焦虑、制度焦虑三个方面。院长角色调适是对焦虑进行的适应性调整,有内求与外求两种路径。内求即自我调适,集中在思想和技术两个层面;外求主要指外部的条件保障与制度支持。研究旨在丰富大学院长研究的成果,并对推进大学治理实践提供有价值的参照。
The College dean is at the"intersection of administrative power and academic power",which is a mirror reflecting the deep-seated contradictions within the university.The"ambivalence"of the dean’s role is rooted in the core ambivalence of the university culture.Conflict leads to anxiety.The qualitative study of 19 deans found that the dean’s role anxiety mainly focused on three aspects of time anxiety,relationship anxiety and system anxiety.The adjustment of dean’s role is an adaptive adjustment to anxiety,which has two ways of seeking:internal and external.Internal seeking is self-adjustment,which focuses on two levels of thought and technology;external seeking mainly refers to external condition guarantee and system support.The purpose of this study is to enrich the research results of university presidents and provide valuable reference for promoting university governance practice.
