摘要
象思维方法是中国古代科技方法不同于现代科技方法的重要体现,如何翻译与诠释这种科技方法成为中国传统科技文化"走出去"的主要课题之一。本文在认识象思维科技方法具体内涵的基础上,采用比较法分析象思维的不同层次及方法的英译与诠释。研究发现,就此类文献的翻译而言,表层的语言相似较难传达中国古代科技方法的内涵,要反映这种特质,需诉诸深层的内核相似。
Xiang thinking is considered as one of the differences between ancient Chinese scientific and technological method and that of modern science and technologies. The way in which this method is translated and interpreted has become one of the key projects for traditional Chinese science and technology culture going global. This paper,firstly,attempts to expound what xiang thinking is. Then,comparative approach is used to study the English translation and interpretation of different layers of xiang thinking and this method. The study shows that as to translations of this kind superficial similarities between source texts and target texts are less likely to express the essence of ancient Chinese scientific and technological method. In this case,similarities of deep cores between them are a solution.
