摘要
明确提出两个板块或地块之间相互作用 (主要是错动 )中存在一种致裂致震机制———边缘撕裂 ,并以中国云南境内的红河断裂和美国加州的圣安德列斯两侧地块的边缘撕裂现象为例作了具体阐述。
A mechanism,called as margin tearing,causing fracture and earthquake while two plates or blocks act on each other is put forward in this paper.Taking the Honghe fault in Yunnan province,China and the San Andereas fault in California,United States as examples,the margin tearing courses of the blocks on both sides of the two faults are described.
