Six preservation methods for storaging Tremella polysaccharose producing strains were studied. The results showed that there were different viabilities and sacchrogenic activities affected by different preservation methods. The paraffin oil method could be used for long term preservation, not for long term sustaining saccharogenic activity. The freezing method with skimmed milk as cryoprotectant at -30 °C could maintain not only survival potential but also saccharogenic activity.
