制度移植的困境与超越——中国研究型大学通识教育改革的路径选择 被引量:8

The Dilemma of Institution Transplantation and Its Transcendence ——The Path Choice of General Education Reform in China Research Universities

摘要 现行中国研究型大学通识教育改革的路径选择深受美国模式的影响,其表现是以经典文本教育作为课程与教学改革的共识,以文理学院和书院作为通识教育的组织与制度支持。然而,经典文本教育与专业教育经由长期实践所形成的认知和思维相冲突;文理学院要么被同化为精英专业学院,要么无法获得大学组织的制度环境支持;书院制改革则其象征意义大于实质意义。造成这些困境的原因在于通识教育改革的路径选择与制度化的本土大学体系相冲突,应在专业教育的框架内探寻二者的契合机制,从而形成通识教育的中国模式。 The path choice of general education reform in China research universities was shaped by the American model. Its performance was based on the classic text-based education as the consensus of curriculum and teaching reform, with the liberal arts college and residential college as the organization and institutional support. However, classic text-based education conflicted with three schemes constructed by professional education. The liberal arts college was either assimilated into the elite professional college, or it cannot obtain the institutional environment support from the university. The symbolic significance of the residential college reform was greater than its substantive meaning. The reason for such dilemma was that the path choice of general education reform conflicted with the institutionalized local university system. The mechanism of the two should be explored within the framework of professional education to form a Chinese model of general education.
