Research Progress of Global Sea Surface Temperature Fusion

摘要 海表温度(Sea Surface Temperature,SST)作为描述海洋表层热状况最为重要的参数之一,被广泛地应用于上层海洋过程、海气热量交换、海洋大气数值模拟与预报等研究和应用中。介绍了现场实测产品、多种探测仪器的卫星反演海表温度产品、综合多种仪器探测优势的多卫星融合海表温度产品的主要发展,着重介绍了国际上近些年发展起来的能够融合现场实测数据、卫星遥感数据、模式产品的多源海表温度融合技术及产品进展,重点介绍了国家气象信息中心目前正在开展的全球海表温度融合进展。国家气象信息中心综合国际上多种多源海表温度融合技术优势,开发了基于概率密度匹配订正、超级观测、多重网格三维变分融合的全球海表温度融合技术方案,实现了船舶观测海温、卫星反演海温的偏差订正,基于多种来源SST产品的超级观测场研发,最后利用多重网格三维变分实现了超级观测场与模式预报场的融合。SST融合产品与国际主流SST融合产品的对比表明其精度达到国际先进水平。 Sea surface temperature(SST)is one of the most important parameters of describing the thermal state of ocean surface.It is widely used in the research and application of the upper ocean process,oceanic heat exchange and marine atmospheric numerical simulation and forecasting.This paper introduces the field of observed products,satellite retrieval sea surface temperature products,multi-satellite integration of sea surface temperature products,and the main development of multi-source SST fusion technology and product which can integrate field measurement data,satellite remote sensing data,and model products.Here,we focused on the global SST fusion product approach in the China’s National Meteorological Information Center.Based on the advantages of mainly sea surface temperature fusion technology,the China’s National Meteorological Information Center has developed a global sea surface temperature fusion technology,We developed the PDF correction,the super observation and the STAMS to correct the bias of ship observed sea temperature,and of satellite retrieval SST,to calculate the Super Observation,then to merge Super observation and model products by using the STMAS.Comparison of our SST fusion products with that of the OISST showed that the accuracy of our SST fusion product is as same as that by the OISST.
