《红楼梦》中的“花儿匠·西门·方椿”与北京花事活动及地域文化

摘要 《红楼梦》中贾芸"出西门找到花儿匠方椿家里去买树",这一句蕴含了丰富的北京地域文化信息。"花儿匠"是明清时期北京以种花为职业的匠人称谓。丰台是花木种植基地,在城外的西南方向;槐树斜街是花木销售中心,在城内的西南方位。贾芸从"西门"出去是正确的取向。北京的椿树种植颇广,北京人喜欢食用椿树芽,北京以"椿"命名的地名颇多。长椿寺位于槐树斜街上,是康熙年间著名的文人雅集场所。"方椿"的得名极有可能是基于槐树斜街、椿树文化的自然联想。 In the novel of A Dream of Red Mansions, Jia Yun "walked out of the West Gate to buy trees at gardener Fang Chun' s." This sentence contains a lot of information about geographical culture of Beijing. Gardener is the name to address someone whose career was to take care of flowers in Beijing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Fengtai, located southwest outside the city, was the place for planting and nurturing flowers and trees. Sophora Street was the sales center of flowers and trees, situated southwest inside the city. Jia Yun was in the correct direction when walking outside the city from West Gate. Toona were popularly planted in Beijing, its new leaves being the favorite food of the people in Beijing. Chun, the Chinese character for toona, can be found in many place names in Beijing. Changchun Temple is situated on Sophora Street and used to be a famous gathering place of literati during the reign of Emperor Kangxi.
