Evaluation of the Effect of Cationic Polyacrylamide/Bentonite Microparticle System as Retention and Drainage Aids

摘要 组合了一种阳离子聚丙烯酰胺-膨润土微粒助留助滤体系,考察了其对一种加填纸料留着和滤水行为的影响,同时分析了其对成纸性能的影响.结果表明:相比于单一的阳离子聚丙烯酰胺助留剂,该微粒助留助滤体系在小幅提高填料留着率的同时,可显著地进一步提高加填纸料的滤水性能;该微粒助留体系使纸料产生平均尺寸更小的絮聚,从而改善纸张匀度,并由此对纸张强度产生积极的影响,这种影响一定程度上可以归因于填料-纤维结合指数的提高. A mircroparticle system was combined by cationic polyacrylamide and bentonite, and its effects on the retention and drainage behavior of a filled stock, as well as the properties of paper, were investigated. The results showed that, compared to the single cationic polyacrylamide retention agent, the microparticle system could dramatically improve the drainability while slightly improved the retentionof the filler. In addition, the microparticle system formed floes with smaller average size, thus the paper formation was better. The mircroparticle systemalso had a positiveeffect on the paper strength properties, which was attributed to the increase of filler and fiber bondingindex.
