北魏灵太后“转轮王”与“佛”形象的建构 被引量:5

摘要 北魏孝明帝时,灵太后胡氏为当朝的实际执政者。灵太后在临朝称制后,便开始遵照佛经记载的转轮王模式推行一系列护法措施,亦即通过运用外来的转轮王观念,加强其权位的正当性。但除了"佛教转轮王"的形象外,灵太后还似建构有"佛"之面貌,不仅利用佛教符谶来暗示天下,自己以女身成佛,还与孝明帝并称"二帝"或"二圣",同时在石窟中设计"二佛并立"的特殊布局。此外,灵太后还欲通过《华严论》的修撰,来具体阐释"转轮王即佛"的观念,并通过《华严经》的弘广,来为自己的统治提供神圣且合法化的支持。虽然从现有资料来看,灵太后并未公开宣称自己是"转轮王"或"佛",但她推广佛教的一些措施,以佛教信仰教化天下的作为,都表明了她所努力的方向。在一个以男性为主导的社会中,这位颇具女权意识的实际君主,正是运用了佛教王权的相关理论,来告知天下她所具有的最高政治权力与地位。 During the period of Emperor Xiaoming,the Northern Wei Dynasty,Empress Dowager Ling was the person who actually ruled the country. Following the pattern of Cakravartin,She once carried out a series of measures to strengthen the legitimacy of her power after she came into power. Besides the image of "Cakravartin ",Empress Dowager Ling seemed to construct the image of"Buddha"to show that she had the same position as her son. In addition,she wanted to illustrate the view of "Cakravartin is Buddha"through the writing of On Avatamsaka. And by the popularization of Avatamsaka Sutra,she aimed to provide sacred and legalized support for her ruling. Although Empress Dowager Ling did not avow herself "Cakravartin "or"Buddha",her Buddhism measures and her efforts to moralize the whole country by using Buddhism belief informeal all people of her highest political power and position.
